Rybka Pouch ENG

The Rybka (little fish in Polish) is a knitted pouch that can hold a myriad of things. It’s a very stylish bag charm for a lipgloss or a pepper spray for all the girlbosses out there.

This pattern gives specific instructions for an AirPods Pro case and a pencil case but feel free to change the length to fit your requirements.

MATERIALS:

The pouch is designed for leftover sock yarn and mohair. It uses 3 mm knitting needles and a 2.5 mm crochet hook (for the assembly).

For an Airpods Pro case ( 9 cm long ) you will need:

8 g of sock yarn
5 g of mohair

For a pencil case ( 15 cm long ) you will need:

10 g of sock yarn
7 g of mohair

GAUGE:

25 stitches x 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm in garter stitch on 3 mm needles

Rusałka Headscarf

Rusałka is a demonic female entetity from Slavic Folklore, that usually inhabits bodies of water. This headscarf design is inspired by romantic lace fabrics and is meant to be worn on picturesque summer occasions. The simple constructions and engaging stitch pattern makes for a perfect holiday project.

MATERIALS:

3.5 mm circular needles with a 80 cm cable

This pattern calls for 100 m of a cotton/linen/silk
DK weight yarn (50 g / 100-120 m)

50 g Pure Silk by Knitting for Olive (two strands held together) or

5O g of Tynn Line by Sandnes Garn (two strands held together)

20 stitches x 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm in lace pattern on 3.5 mm needles

Babunia Shawl

Babunia means Granny in Polish. This shawl is inspired by the traditional Slavic headscarves often worn tied under the chin by our Grandmothers. The fluffy mohair combined with the lace pattern creates an angelic look and keeps away the cold wind and rain. Wear it with a leather jacket or wool trench to make every winter look feel special.

MATERIALS:

5 mm circular needles with a 80 cm cable

This pattern calls for 200 m of a fluffy mohair/alpaca yarn

Yarn recommendations:

100 g of Ballerina Chunky Mohair by Sandnes Garn or

50 g of Brushlight by Cardiff Cashmere

SIZE:

one size = 47 cm x 115 cm

GAUGE:

17 stitches x 32 - rows = 10 x 10 cm in lace pattern on 5 mm needles

Owca Purse
PLN 15.00

Owca means “sheep” in Polish. This pattern includes instructions for a sheep shaped ( say that 10 times fast ) purse with a zipper and a lining. This little, wooly friend will help you get rid of those odd quantities of yarn, leftover from bigger projects. Use it to store your knitting tools or all those bits and bobs that roll around at the bottom of your bag.

MATERIALS:

3.5 mm circular needles with a 80 cm cable ( for the magic loop technique )

3.5 mm double pointed needles ( optional )

14 cm zipper

A thin, non stretchy fabric for the lining ( 20 cm x 30 cm )

This pattern is designed for scrap DK wool yarn

( 50 g / 100-120 m ):

Colour A: 52 m ~ 28 g for the BODY

Colour B: 10 m ~ 5 g for the HEAD, EARS and LEGS

yarn suggestions: Sandnes Garn Peer Gynt, Filcolana Peruvian Highland Wool, Drops Karisma

MEASUREMENTS:

10 cm x 19 cm

GAUGE:

23 stitches x 34 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch on 3.5 mm needles
